A paper-making company in Leon, Mexico, has installed an ENERPAT HBA80-11075 Fully Automatic Horizontal Baler to bale waste paper at about 6 tons per hour. The customer chose ENERPAT after a previous baler purchase left it without after-sales support, and it valued both the proposed solution and the service behind it.
· Location: Leon, Mexico
· Industry: Paper manufacturing
· Material: Waste paper
· Equipment: ENERPAT HBA80-11075 Fully Automatic Horizontal Baler
· Application: Baling waste paper into dense, automatically tied bales
The customer is a paper-making company based in Leon, Mexico. Waste paper is a regular material stream in its operation, and it has to be compressed, tied and moved efficiently to keep production running smoothly. Because baling takes place at a steady, high volume, the company needs equipment that works around the clock and is backed by dependable support.
The customer had bought a baler before, but the experience was disappointing. The machine came with no after-sales support, and the customer had serious doubts about its build quality. When equipment is central to daily operations, that combination is a real risk. Without a supplier to call on, any fault or maintenance question becomes the customer’s own problem to solve.
For its next purchase, the customer wanted more than a machine. It wanted a baling solution designed around its material and volume, and a supplier who would stand behind the equipment after installation. The baler also had to handle waste paper at around 6 tons per hour, with minimal manual work in the baling process.
ENERPAT HBA80-11075 Fully Automatic Horizontal Baler. It has an 80-ton press force and a 37 kW motor, and produces bales of 1100 × 750 mm in cross-section, with the length set by the operator. According to the specification sheet, OCC bale weight is 600–900 kg.
Two factors drove the customer’s decision: the solution ENERPAT proposed, and the after-sales support behind it. ENERPAT provides free material testing and design services before an order, and a global service network for technical support afterward. For a customer burned by a previous purchase, that support mattered as much as the machine itself.
The HBA80-11075 also suits the application technically:
· Fully automatic tying: Once a bale reaches the length set on the control panel, the machine ties it off automatically, so no operator needs to bundle each bale by hand. The system uses German automatic tying technology and high-strength quenched steel wire, which keeps bales tightly secured in storage and transit.
· Three-way compression: Three hydraulic cylinders work with the main ram to form dense, evenly shaped bales, even from loose or bulky material.
· Dependable hydraulics: The system uses a cartridge-type valve group for fast cycles, H-type tapered pipe fittings and Hallite (UK) seals that resist leaks, and an industrial chiller that supports continuous multi-shift operation.
· Simple control: A Siemens or Schneider PLC with a touchscreen and button controls monitors cycle time, current and oil temperature in real time. The CE-certified safety system includes an emergency stop, oil-temperature alarm, overload protection and a lockable maintenance mode.
· Easy installation and feeding: The machine is built as an integrated, one-piece unit and can be configured with a conveyor for automatic infeed, which reduces manual loading.
The machine bales waste paper at about 6 tons per hour. The HBA series is also suited to cardboard, plastic bottles, film, woven bags, dry straw and general industrial waste, so the customer has room to handle other materials later if its needs change.
The HBA80-11075 is now installed in Leon and bales waste paper into dense, automatically tied bales at about 6 tons per hour. Automatic tying reduces the manual work involved in each bale, and three-way compression gives consistent bale shape. The customer now has a baler backed by an accountable supplier, which was the gap left by its earlier purchase.
ENERPAT’s HBA series covers press forces from 60 to 200 tons and motor power from 22 to 55 kW, with models for different volumes of paper, cardboard and plastics. We test customer-supplied samples free of charge before you order. Send us your material and daily volume, and we will confirm the right model.
